2020 in Review; A Letter from Our CEO

December 20, 2020

What a year 2020 has been for Sydney ICT. We’ve had our challenges, our ups and our downs as well as many achievements to be proud of. But of course, we wouldn’t have been able to do this without our families, our community and of course, you, our customers.

Throughout the year, we’ve welcomed new staff members, increased our global presence, and completed exciting new projects. But, 2020 hasn’t been without its challenges. We have face internal restructures as well as implemented training for our staff to ensure our standards always exceed expectations. Finally, like many companies this year, we’ve had to reinvent ourselves to ensure we survive Covid-19. By adapting and playing to our strengths in these challenging times, we have been able to not only survive but to thrive as Australia starts to return to a sense of normalcy.

Sydney ICT’s 2020 Milestones

We’re proud of the many milestones that our team have achieved together this year. Despite the challenges we have faced, we have welcomed new staff members to the team and expanded our presence across the globe. This year we opened our UK company and have started to set up our Brazilian company as well.

While we take bigger steps across the globe, we’ve also continued to improve our headquarters here in Sydney. We’ve changed how our office is utilised and added some new features to help build the Sydney ICT atmosphere we’ve always dreamed of. The launch of our new website was another milestone that we’re proud of. As our online hub, it’s a place for you to keep up with the latest news and blogs that we publish.

Finally, we’re proud of the many projects we’ve completed this year. Some highlights include network installs for SEED Workspaces and for Raymax Lasers. We’ve also joined forces with new vendors and suppliers including Yealink, Poly, MMT and Kramer.

Our Community Achievements

While we can talk and talk about the achievements that Sydney ICT have made, it wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community. That is why it’s so important that we continue to give back to our community.

This year we collaborated with the Alphabet Academy to help support front line workers and their families. We’ve also continued to sponsor the AMCF and, in collaboration with Dweebi, have built and host their new website.

2021, the Year of Bigger and Better Things!

We’re incredibly proud of the growth and milestones we have achieved this year and we’re excited to keep the momentum going in the new year. In the spirit of things, we’ve compiled ambitious goals for Sydney ICT for 2021.

We’re aiming to grow by a further 200% this year. This includes taking on more staff, growing our business across the globe and partnering with even more vendors. In particular, we’re excited for the training our team will be undertaking with Kramer in the new year. As part of this growth, we’ll also finalise the setup of our office and Brazil.

Finally, we’ll continue to give back to our community and the environment. As an ICT company, electricity use is one of our biggest environmental footprints, as is travel. For 2021, we’ll be focusing on lowering our carbon footprint and doing our best to achieve ISO 14001, the ICT industry standard for sustainability. We’ll be partnering with Adaptive Certifications to achieve this.

On behalf of the Sydney ICT team, I’d like to thank you again for your support in 2020. Sydney ICT is built on the foundation of honesty and trust which is reflected in our core values (family, honesty & integrity). Together, we’ll step into the new year with positivity and determination.
